  • Dimensional Due Diligence – with respect to a number of banking and financial services clients, conducted in-depth 540° referencing on potential executive hires in order to obtain objective evidence on the strengths and weaknesses of the individuals in question
  • Competitor profiling – on behalf of one of the UK’s largest financial services organisations, mapped out the credit risk manager population within our client’s competitors
  • Assessment and development centre design and delivery – with respect to a number of banking and financial services clients, designed and conducted assessment and development centres utilising a wide range of techniques including competency based interviews, individual and group role plays, other individual and group exercises, ability testing and personality profiling

Resource consulting projects
Resource consulting projects we have successfully delivered on behalf of our clients include:
  • Transition and other personal coaching – with respect to a number of banking and financial services clients, matched highly experienced coaches from our panel with executives working at our client organisations in order to hone their leadership capabilities
  • Competency model design and development – with respect to a number of financial services organisations, led the development and implementation of new competency frameworks, which included extensive use of workshops; also worked with the leadership team of a substantial start-up lender to facilitate the definition of a set of core values which then led to the development of a competency model
  • Organisation design and role profiling – on behalf of a new entrant to the UK mortgage industry, designed the ‘to be’ organisational structure and built role descriptions and ultimately developed a competency model for the client and profiled the roles against the model; also assisted a top 5 building society to conduct a corporate governance review by determining the effectiveness of the existing leadership structure and looking at how leadership responsibilities were apportioned and delegated
  • Recruitment toolkit design and production – assisted a blue chip international professional services firm to become more proficient in recruiting new consultants; this involved redesigning their recruitment processes, refocusing selection on assessing against attitudes and behaviours rather than technical skills, and producing all of the guidance notes and material required in the recruitment process
  • Competency based interview training – worked with a blue chip international professional services consultancy firm to train 50+ line managers in competency based interviewing; have also delivered bespoke 1 to 1 training to line managers for a variety of our clients
  • Remuneration benchmarking – on behalf of a fast growth technology company operating within the retail banking and financial services sector, carried out an extensive review of their executives’ pay, benefits and equity participation arrangements, which included conducting a peer group benchmarking exercise and desk based research
  • Retention and exit information services – worked with a major national financial services company to understand why they were suffering from an above average turnover of professional staff; the survey was conducted in a unique manner and included in-depth 1 to 1 meetings that explored a staff member’s core personal values; the conclusions were completely unexpected by the leadership team and became the catalyst of a major transformational programme
  • Performance management systems – worked with a major national IFA to develop a new competency framework covering all levels and then implemented and trained in a new competency based performance management system
